On the Eleventh Day of Christmas...

No. 11 in the series 12 Days of Christmas as seen by Janet Helm

When I started the tradition of creating my holiday cards using the twelve days of Christmas as my inspiration, I never dreamed I would have so much fun coming up with ideas. This year when pondering on the theme, "eleven pipers piping" I thought a 1940's feel, keeping the image black and white, the boys donned in tartan and cap, playing "pipes" would make for a festive image. My sons couldn’t believe it when I grabbed the camera and said,”okay let’s go outside and play with sticks!” Fun was had by all.

Wishing you and yours a holiday season filled

with much peace, love and laughter.

'Tis the Season to be Tartan!

As a designer of bespoke tartans, I am thrilled seeing the criss cross pattern everywhere these days.

Here are a few of my favourites

The limited edition Aga stove, designed by chef, Oliver Heath. Check out how the pattern captures the texture of actual woven fabric.
